The Calzados Gulliver’s History started in 1958, when our founder and today President, Mr. Miguel Valera, first introduced Gulliver brand, when he began making children’s shoes in the small premises he had in Villena – Spain. Later, the company started to grow and consolidated in the Spanish market as an important quality manufacturer.

In May, 1995, the OCU (the Spanish Consumers & Users’ Organization) after making an analysis of the children’s footwear products, gave to our company the award of “best quality/price relation”, which is very indicative of our kind of product.

Since March, 1997, Gulliver shows his products at both yearly editions of GDS – Düsseldorf. Today, Calzados Gulliver has presence in the most important countries.

In October, 2000, Mr. Miguel Valera Jr. and Mrs. María-Dolores Valera take the command of the normal activities of the company, to ensure his journey to the next millennium.

In 2002 we moved to new premises, where the now available surface means doubling the area of the previous manufacturing plant. We have purchased new machinery, and we have established strict rules of Health and Security for the workers in the plant.

The same company philosophy that the owner, and today President, Mr. Valera, has always adhered to, justifies and defines our renewal process aimed to a successful adjustment to the new customer requirements.

All of these adaptations have been made looking to the future, and we can say that, at the moment, we are a 21st Century company.
